I keep telling myself the fact we’ve gone a different route with the manager means we’ll see a difference on the pitch… Anything to keep my optimism i suppose
Time will tell but i’m confident Schumacher is the man, young, attacking, modern day coach who if given time, will improve us without a doubt.
Thought Mmaee played well once he had Bae just behind him and Junior with his energy and constant support on the right. He’s not a lone number 9, he needs 2 or 3 around him who can play off him, but if he gets that, he’s a massive asset

we should know better as Stoke fans by now. I’m pleased we’ve gone down the head coach route, I’m not convinced those above him are the right ones but that’s for another thread!

Yeah I think this will be the test for Ricky. He hasn’t made many decisions yet but this managerial appointment is huge, if it works then he’s proved he should be there, and also proves JC was the issue with previous managerial appointments. If it doesnt work, I can see him being moved on with a DoF coming in instead of a Technical Director.It’s the optimism that kills you

Had a feeling that Thompson was going to get the nod in the middle of the pitch. Where is Laurent!? Haks off the bench could be huge in this game.. I can see him making a difference in the second half.
Decent first half, we look threatening when we go forward and have looked fairly sure at the back.
Birmingham look woeful, how Gooch has that much space to run into for the 2nd I have no idea.
Vidigal should have scored really but all in all a very pleasing first 45 and we’ve scored a couple at St Andrews
