Stoke City have completed the signing of midfielder Luke Cundle, who joins the Potters on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season.

I'm trying to keep my excitement under wraps as I've had my fingers burnt countless times in the last few years . But ..... I can't help myself with the development's of the last few weeks !! Another couple of exciting signings and I'll be right back to full expectation mode 😁 .

It does seem we now finally have a plan with our transfer strategy.

It will take some time to come to fruition but we’re defiantly making the right kind of signings in my opinion.

Why the petulance?
Petulance ?? 🤷‍♂️

We’ve gone through numerous transfer cycles paying over the odds for players that haven’t brought any benefit to the club, moreover have proved to be a milestone around our neck.

We now seem to be buying players that look to improve us in the short term and potentially have some resale value when the time is right.

It WILL take time before we start to see the benefits of this, only when players attract interest from other clubs will we see any return on investment.

Very few players we have had over the last 7 years have turned us a profit when they’ve moved on, most have sat out over inflated contracts and left for nothing or next to nothing.

It’s pleasing that we are now taking a different approach and I’m sure in the mid to long term we will see the benifits.

I’m not sure petulance was the term you were looking for here ?

Maybe try reading your own post that has us “defiantly” making the right sort of signing. And if you’re going to nick my phrases off the oatcake at least spell them right millstone not milestone. If you’re running this thing maybe brush up on the English.

Perhaps it’s comments like this that are making people look for another platform to talk all things stoke. Absolutely fine to have difference of opinions but you can share them without being rude 👍🏻

You’ve totally lost me, I’m really not sure how the word definitely makes me petulant but thanks for input 👍

We are “definitely” signing players of the right profile, young, ambitious and hopefully with some value to the club in the mid to long term. Il refrain from using any language you may interpret as petulant moving forward.

Exactly the reason we started this place because other sites turn into this petty ripping other people apart for no reason, I’m really sorry I spelt a word incorrectly, if it’s affected your day I do sincerely apologise, but trying to respond to a post while busy at work sometimes leads to an error or two but I’m not the kind of person that would sit here and pick holes in people because of spelling mistake, rather petty really.

I will take being able to set up something like this as a skill-set over the occasional mistake grammatically.

I will chastise myself accordingly, hope you have a great rest of the day 😀

That is exactly the reason I deleted my account on the Oatcake having been there from the early days. We all support the same club and we are all here for Stoke City news and chat with fellow Stokies. Hope this place stays that way 👍

I think we were certainly making enquiries in the summer, we are defo looking for a striker by the looks of things 🤞
Hope he’s on our radar again. I’m liking the new look Stoke but I do think we get outmuscled sometimes, especially up front. Wesley, for all his size and appearance, seems a little timid and some of the others aren’t used to the physicality of Championship football yet.

Next one in maybe?

If so I love the hearts and minds approach we are taking with regards to Plymouth 😂

Haha! I don’t think this one is on our radar. He’s recently lost a family member according to Argyle fans down here, so looks like he’s just wanting to be closer to home during this moment.

Having said that, if he ends up moving to us (or anywhere else), argyle fans won’t be happy again 😂

All four of their season long loans have returned to their clubs! They’ve been left with none who started 😳
