I’m coming around to the idea of Robins. I think Mowbray is a better fit to work with our squad but I’ll not be gutted if it is Robins. Whoever it is we’ve got to hope they can get some of these players back on track because what looked like our best assets a few months ago look nothing like where they were. Having a player go off the boil can happen to anyone but a handful of players has got to be bad coaching and management.I would like someone like Gary o Neil or Steve Cooper but they're not realistically going to come anywhere near us. If it's a coach type then Heitinga or Lijnders but it's looking likely to be Mark Robins, which I'm not too sure about. Whoever it is needs to be in charge no matter what happens at the end of the season
The titles of the roles don’t really matter. It’s meant to be a collaborative approach. As long as the people collaborate and one isn’t dominant of the others it can work how it’s meant to. All we’ve done with the last regime is replace a god manager with a god SD. I think Walters should have paid the price along with Pelach but if he’s staying he needs to learn that his job is to help the HC not work against him and ultimately stab him in the back. He’s got far too much power, he should be locked into a vision, style and ethos every bit as much as the HC and not be able to change them at his whim. Neither did he seem to lock Pelach into a style. I refuse to believe that surrenderball monkey shite he produced was what we wanted to move to I’d evidence this by how it instantly disappeared with him which indicates those left in temporary charge thought it was bollocks too.I can't believe Ryan Lowe would take the job anyway, given he's good mates with Schumacher, he's probably been warned well away. I still think Cooper is the stand out but I wouldn't be unhappy with Robins either.
I know it's not very popular but I would still try to go with the head coach model myself, someone like Heitinga or Carsley, because it's very likely we might end up going down regardless of who we get in with this squad, at least with a young coach they could stick around and try to build something from the ground up. Just my opinion obviously and I will back whoever it is as I always have.
Percy is usually bang on regarding Stoke. Cooper will cost too much, my money is still on Robins.Stoke manager news: Mark Robins + David Wagner both interviewed, but process still ongoing and Ryan Shawcross set to take Burnley game. Steve Cooper & Lee Carsley not in contention. Stoke can pay compensation if the right target emerges but clearly restrictions on amount #scfc

Horrific football. No thanks. I like to enjoy attending matches not view it as some punishment that has to be endured.Opinions on Wagner?
You haven't had much fun over the last decade then. Looks like Robins anywayHorrific football. No thanks. I like to enjoy attending matches not view it as some punishment that has to be endured.
Not for any length of time no but I'd argue that all of the 3 manager/HC's prior to Pelach have produced periods of good football. Pelach lost me after 2 games tbh with only brief reconsideration following the Portsmouth rout. It was just a style of football I really don't want to watch whatever the outcomes and Wagner would not be too far removed from it.You haven't had much fun over the last decade then.
