So we return home for the first game of the new year and come up against Ipswich who currently sit in 2nd in the league.

No doubt they will come here looking for the win, but they are currently missing several key players and haven't won a game in the last 4, so it may be a good time to come up against them.

That said the hectic schedule must be taking a toll on our players, some of which have worked their socks off the last few games.

I think Schumacher will again send them out to have a go at it, I don't get the feeling he's the kind of coach to park the bus in any game, especially at home.

I would like to see an unchanged team again but I think he may rest one or two, I think we will end up with something like this -

Bonham

Hoever
McNally
Rose
Thompson

Burger
Baker
Johnson

Tchamadeu
Mmaee
Haksabonovic

Optimistic we will pick something up I'm going for a 2-1 win

Fatigue could be a slight issue in this one. Really hope we don’t see too much tiredness and the same tenacity playing forward. A point would be a great result!

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Wilmott get some game time in this one . I think Pearson will start again also.

I wonder whether Sidibe will get any game time in the coming weeks? Would be great to see him allowed the time to prove himself.

I wonder whether it will be:
Bonham.

Hoever.
Wilmott.
Rose/Mcnally.
Thompson.

Baker.
Pearson.
Burger/Johnson.

Junior.
Mmaee.
Haks.

The festive schedule must be gruelling, as much as they are professional athletes it’s defo going take it’s toll on players.

We’ve got to carry on with the front foot football, it’s clear as night is day it suits the players, like you I just hope they are not too knackered to do it!

Honestly think Ipswich are there for the taking, by all accounts they were not great against QPR, I think their momentum could be faltering and with Southampton seemingly on a roll the pressure will no doubt have an effect.

I’d love for Sidibe to get some game time, it’s another baffling AN decision to freeze him out after such a good pre-season, he should have been making the bench minimum all season for me.

I think SS has shown with Juno that if he thinks your good enough you’ll play so he will get his chance.

Agreed. Only time will tell… I’m looking forward to the game but there are a lot of potentials involved. What Ipswich will turn up & how are our squad feeling fitness wise will dictate the game. I’d be really happy with a point.

Im looking forward to January I really am. Space for training, single or double game weeks which means more time for preperation and rest.
Brighton cup games gives us an opportunity to give game time to players.
Rotherham, Birmingham & Sunderland all winnable games. Could be a brilliant month.

Any idea where Campbell is at in his return? Tomorrow would be a good game to have in the squad.

Strangely confident today, they have multiple players out either injured or due to sickness. Feel like our football is improving game after game and the fans are seriously back on side now. If the fans get it rocking today, which we usually do against teams at the top end, we can win this. 2-1 Stoke. GOARNNNN!!!

I'm with you Tom, I really fancy us today (should know better!)

Hoping for a cracking atmosphere and 3 points in the bag come 5pm 🤞

Yes, I'd go the same way, I don't mind Thompson at LB to be honest.

I don't think SS is daft enough not to play Junho as the 10.
Doesn’t look like it 👎🏻

Looks like Junho is starting on the wing. Strange, guess he’s still seeing how it works out. Who knows, tactically could be given completely different instructions out there to what we saw under AN.

Gooarn Stoke!

Decent first half that, we had the better chances.

Don’t think we’ve done enough to be winning it yet so a draw at half time is probably the correct scoreline.

I absolutely love the fact we are having a go though, 3 weeks ago we’d have shit out pants at the prospect of playing 2nd in the league.

No idea what the second yellow was for but it ruined our chances of 3 points. Regardless… a huge point with ten men! Can’t help but feel extremely positive after that game. Schuey is turning the ship!!

Says it all really!

Has to be seen as a positive point that, until we went down to 10 I thought the game was there for the taking.

Once we went down to ten, they worked hard to defend the point.

Burger MOTM for me today, the guy covered every blade of grass.

Propper captain performance. He is the most suitable captain we have in every department.

Good point considering. January could be a brilliant month for us!

I also don’t think he was offside for his goal, Clarke was playing him on.

I thought the standard of officiating today was really poor, they seemed to get 80% of the big calls wrong.

Still, delighted to take a point, even more pleased in the way we are approaching games now, some more “winnable” games coming up now so fingers crossed we start turning these draws to wins 🔴⚪💪🔴⚪
