Stoke v Rotherham - EFL Cup

Just got home after some idiot decided to shut the A500 after the game 🤬

Impressive performance across the pitch for me, we looked like we were going to score every time we got forward.

Rotherham are a really poor team mind, il be surprised if they aren’t rock bottom come the end of the season.

Thought all the new lads acquitted themselves well, Burger is different gravy, he plays simple and makes the game look easy, Leris has some work rate on him, not everything came off for him tonight but you can see he’s a player.

My only concern and it’s one I’ve had since the first game of the season is our inability to deal with set pieces, if I’m not mistaken most of the goals we’ve conceded this season have come from them.

Still some work to do on the training ground on that front but on the whole, delighted with the progress we’re making 🔴⚪️🔴⚪️

Not knocking those that came last night but that has to be the smallest away attendance I’ve ever seen.

I think the whole league cup thing needs a total revamp if I’m honest, it’s dying on its arse.

What the answer is I have no idea, maybe exclude the top 10 from the Prem, they take it even less seriously until the latter stages.

Total attendance was sub 10k, cheeper tickets, kids for a quid and school holidays and it still doesn’t pull folk in.
