We make the long trip down to Southampton this weekend to face the promotion chasers although, after this week's hammering by would-be Champions Leicester, it looks as though they may have to settle for a playoff spot.

With Stoke now all but safe the game probably has more significance for our hosts than it does for us, that said another strong performance to back up last week's demolition of Plymouth would give fans more hope that our much-needed consistency is starting to find it's feet!

I'd be delighted if we can come away with a draw but this is a tough game against one of the better teams in the league.

The same team as last week to start the game for me, SS needs to show the players a good performance keeps you your place.

Tough game for sure and a point would be great but difficult to come by. I’d expect changes, there always are with SS. Maybe try a similar team and approach to the Leeds away game where we deserved a point at least ?

Perhaps Southampton will rest a few and make sure they’re fully fit and firing for the playoffs and we can make the most of it.

I’ll go for a full 0-0 and I’ll be delighted with that 👍

I think a draw would be great today considering Southamptons home record. If they ease off considering it’s likely playoffs is going to be their destination it may give us an opportunity for something. I have no doubts they’ll be looking to bounce back with a big results after the Leicester game though.

Some huge games happening at the bottom of the table and safety is on offer for a few clubs today including ourselves. It would be nice to have that confirmed come 5pm if everything goes our way. Three points does it regardless.

My heart says 1-1, my head says 3-1 loss. Ill take anything that secures safety today, whether that’s a Huddersfield win or a Stoke one.

Come on Stoke!

Well, I didn’t expect that. Brilliant display and thoroughly deserved the win. We’re safe, we can breathe, and now the conversation turns to next years expectations.

Well done Stoke! We got out of the mess we shouldn’t have been in 👏🏻

That’s a great result and a welcome 3 points which keeps us safe.

Maybe this awful season and our very close escape from relegation will be the wake up call this club needs. We shouldn’t be in this mess, our squad is better than this, wealthy owners etc… it all counts for nothing if people don’t put a shift in and that applies to every single person at Stoke City Football Club.

Let’s enjoy survival but don’t let this happen again. Learn from it and build, better and stronger.

Looking forward to Saturday already 😁👍

Brilliant performance 🙌

Dare I say we are starting to look cohesive as a team 🫣

Million was fantastic, and Tyrese took his goal really well, all round good team performance.

Would love it if we can go into the summer with 3 straight wins behind us
I think there’s a big chance of that, Bristol are there for the taking in my opinion. We shouldn’t lose that game if the lads heads haven’t gone to the beach just yet…

This summer is huge really. Some big decisions to make regarding contracts, recruitment & pre-season plans. If we get those right I think we could have a much more enjoyable season next year with signs of finally building a team we’re proud of. Long way to go, and it’s usually the decisions I’ve just mentioned we have got terribly wrong, but there seems to be much more of a clear understanding of what’s needed and I’m hopeful we can do it.
