Stoke defender Stevens signs new one-year contract

it’s a strange one… clearly he can do the job but he can’t do it week in week out. We don’t have a left back at all yet. If and when we do get one and if he gets an injury that keeps him out for four or five games, can we rely on Steven’s to fill the space ? Beyond three successive games is a stretch for him.

Hopefully we get a regular left back in before the season starts and then look for another backup in January. Hopefully Steven’s can manage til then if needed.

I like him but it’s an odd one for me.
